Some employers have a 'tiered' 401k contribution style. For example, an employer may match 100% of the first 2% of employee contributions and then 50% of the next 2% of employee contributions. We have added the ability to have three separate tiers to accommodate virtually any employer contribution. This is useful for both the enrollment process and also producing employee Total Compensation Statements.
Yet, no Safe Harbor contribution set up? Most of my clients have a Safe Harbor 3% contribution for employees for non-elective contributions.
